Giants’ NFL schedule includes Thanksgiving, Germany and more

The Giants will play in Germany this season. They will see Saquon Barkley as an opponent twice. And they could face rookie quarterbacks in their first two games of the season.

The Giants kick off their 2024 NFL season at home against the Vikings. Whether the Giants face rookie J.J. McCarthy in his first NFL game obviously remains to be seen.

On Sept. 15, the Giants will play their first divisional opponent, the seemingly new and improved Commanders and presumed starting rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The Giants host the Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in Week 4 on Thursday Night Football, then get another national game against their divisional rival on Thanksgiving Day.

The Giants will play against the Eagles and Barkley in Weeks 7 and 18. It will be interesting to see what is at stake in that second meeting, in the last week of the regular season.

The Giants have nine home games and eight on the road in 2024. In addition to their games within the NFC East, they will play the entire NFC South and AFC North.

In their 100th season, the Giants will go international again as they face the Carolina Panthers in Munich, Germany, on Sunday, Nov. 10. That game will kick off at 9:30 Eastern and counts as an away game for the Giants.

The game will be the Giants’ second in Germany, though their first in 30 years. They last played a preseason game in Berlin in 1994 against the Chargers. Earlier this year, the Giants were granted international marketing rights in Germany through the NFL’s Global Markets Program.

At 6-11, the Giants are coming off a third-place finish in the NFC East.
