The Giants’ 2024 schedule:

Sunday, Sept. 8, 1 p.m., FOX

Minnesota’s 2023 record: 7-10, NFC North third place

Series Record: Regular season — Giants trail, 17-10; Postseason — Giants lead, 3-1.

Minnesota won the last four regular-season games in the series, but the Giants were the victors in the teams’ most recent meeting, in the 2022 NFC Wild Card Game. Two seasons ago, the Giants and Vikings met twice in four games in U.S. Bank Stadium. Minnesota took the regular-season game on Dec. 24, when Greg Joseph’s 61-yard field goal as time expired gave the Vikings a 27-24 triumph. In the playoff game three weeks later, Daniel Jones threw two touchdown passes and Saquon Barkley ran for two scores, including the game-winning 2-yarder with 7:47 left, as the Giants won their first postseason game in 11 years, 31-24. The Vikings are 1-1 vs. the Giants in MetLife Stadium, including a 28-10 victory on Oct. 6, 2019.

Washington’s 2023 record: 4-13, NFC East fourth place

Series Record: Regular season — Giants lead, 107-70-5; Postseason — Tied, 1-1.

The Giants swept the season series in 2023 for the 36th time. On Oct. 22 in MetLife Stadium, the Giants scored a pair of first-half touchdowns in a 14-7 victory against the Commanders. Four weeks later, the Giants forced six turnovers and Tommy DeVito threw three touchdown passes while earning his first victory as an NFL starter in a 31-19 triumph in Washington. The Giants have faced Washington 182 times in the regular season since their first meeting in 1932, making this their most frequently contested rivalry. They are 9-4-1 vs. Washington in MetLife and 16-10-1 in Commanders Field.

Cleveland’s 2023 record: 11-6, AFC North second place, fifth playoff seed

Series Record: Regular season — Giants trail, 27-21-2; Postseason — Tied, 1-1.

The Giants lost the team’s most recent game but won when they last visited Cleveland. They last met on Dec. 20, 2020, when Daniel Jones missed the Sunday night game with an injury. The Giants were held to a pair of field goals in a 20-6 loss. The teams last squared off in Cleveland on Nov. 27, 2016, when three Eli Manning touchdown passes keyed a 27-13 victory. From 1950-69, the Giants and Browns had one of the NFL’s greatest rivalries, playing each other twice each season (except for 1968). Since the Browns moved to the AFC in the 1970 merger, they have played each other only 11 times (the Giants own a 6-5 advantage).

Dallas’ 2023 record: 12-5, NFC East first place; second playoff seed

Series Record: Regular season — Giants trail, 75-46-2; Postseason — Giants lead, 1-0.

Dallas swept the season series in 2023 for the second consecutive season and the sixth time in the last seven years. The Cowboys have won 13 of the last 14 meetings. In the season-opening Sunday night game on Sept. 10, Dallas scored touchdowns on returns of a blocked field goal and an interception and rolled to a 40-0 victory in MetLife Stadium. In the rematch on Nov. 12 in AT&T Stadium, Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes in a 49-17 Cowboys victory. The two-game sweep was Dallas’ 26th in the series; the Giants have 13. The Giants have lost seven consecutive games in AT&T Stadium, where they are 5-10 overall. The Cowboys are 8-6 vs. the Giants in MetLife Stadium.

Sunday, Oct. 6, 4:25 p.m., CBS

Seattle’s 2023 record: 9-8, NFC West third place.

Series Record: Regular season — Giants trail, 11-10

The Giants and Seahawks will meet for the third consecutive season after Seattle won the previous two meetings. On Oct. 30, 2022, the Giants tied the score early in the fourth quarter before the Seahawks scored the game’s final 14 points in a 27-13 victory in Seattle. The game was not as close last Oct. 2 when the Seahawks cruised to a 24-3 Monday night victory in MetLife Stadium. The Giants are 4-6 in Seattle, including 2-4 in Lumen Field, which opened in 2002.

Cincinnati’s 2023 record: 9-8, AFC North fourth place

Series Record: Regular season — Giants trail, 6-5

When the Giants won in Cincinnati on Nov. 29, 2020, it was the first victory by a road team in the series’ 11 games. It also gave the Giants their back-to-back victories against the Bengals for the second time; they beat Cincinnati in 1994 and 1997. The teams last faced each other in MetLife Stadium on Monday night, Nov. 14, 2016, when Eli Manning’s third touchdown pass of the game, a 3-yarder to Sterling Shepard early in the fourth quarter, held up for a 21-20 victory.

Philadelphia’s 2023 record: 11-6, NFC East second place, fifth playoff seed

Series Record: Regular season — Giants trail, 90-86-2; Postseason — Giants trail, 3-2.

The teams split their season series for the second time in three years in 2023. The Giants’ first-ever Christmas Day game was a 33-19 loss in Philadelphia. In the season finale two weeks later, the Giants’ defense forced three turnovers and recorded five sacks in a 27-10 triumph. The Giants are 5-9 against the Eagles in MetLife (plus 0-1 in the postseason). But they have lost 11 consecutive games in Lincoln Financial Field, their longest streak in one stadium in franchise history, and are 6-15 in the regular season and 0-2 in postseason play there.

Pittsburgh’s 2023 record: 10-7, AFC North third place, seventh playoff seed

Series Record: Regular season — Giants lead, 44-31-3.

Pittsburgh has won three in a row and four of the previous five games in the series, which began in 1933. The teams last met on Monday night, Sept. 14, 2020, when the Steelers rallied from an early 7-point deficit to win, 26-16. Darius Slayton scored both Giants’ touchdowns on passes from Daniel Jones. The most recent meeting in Pittsburgh was on Dec. 4, 2016, when the Steelers raced out to a 14-0 halftime lead on their way to a 24-14 victory. The teams met every season from 1933 through 1969, except when the series was interrupted by World War II in 1943 and 44. Since the Steelers moved to the AFC in the 1970 merger, they have played only 11 times, seven in New Jersey and four in Pittsburgh. The Steelers lead in those games, 7-4.

Carolina’s 2023 record: 2-15, NFC South fourth place

Series Record: Regular season — Tied, 6-6; Postseason — Giants trail, 1-0.

The Giants will play a regular-season game in Germany for the first time in their 100-season history, and their fourth in Europe, where they are 3-0. The teams will meet for the third time in four seasons with the Giants seeking their third straight victory in the series. On Sept. 18, 2022, Graham Gano tormented his former team by kicking four field goals, including a 56-yarder with 3:34 remaining that gave the Giants a 19-16 victory, Brian Daboll’s first home triumph as a head coach. The previous season, the defense limited Carolina to 173 yards and 11 first downs and Gano kicked three field goals in a 25-3 Giants victory that ended a three-game losing streak in the series. The Giants’ most important victory in the series was a 34-28 overtime triumph in Giants Stadium on Dec. 21, 2008, when the Giants clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. In that game, the Giants rushed for 301 yards, the fifth-highest total in franchise history.
