A player that was arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL at one point is set to hold a workout that should interest a number of organizations.
ESPN NFL writer Jordan Raanan reports on Thursday that Odell Beckham Jr. “will be holding a workout for NFL teams on Friday in Arizona, per sources.”
As Raanan notes, Beckham missed all of the 2022 NFL season with a torn ACL. He adds that the “[New York] Giants are among the teams expected to attend” Beckham’s workout.

Beckham — who turns 31 in November — was a superstar for the Giants from 2014-18.
After being selected by the Giants with the No. 12 overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU, Beckham was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons with New York. He had 35 total touchdowns over those three seasons, with double-digit touchdowns in each season (he topped out at 13 touchdown receptions in 2015).
While Beckham’s Giants career was full of amazing highlights, it was followed by a disappointing era with the Cleveland Browns over three seasons. But he signed a deal with the Los Angeles Rams in November 2021 and played a key role in their Super Bowl championship run. However, he tore his ACL in the Super Bowl (he scored a touchdown earlier in the game, though), and he sat out the 2022 season as a free agent while recovering from the knee injury.

It remains to be seen how much Beckham has left in the tank, but he was very effective over a few months with the Rams and should particularly interest a win-now team. Additionally, it’s a very weak free-agent market at the wide receiver position, so that should also boost the interest in Beckham’s services.
Beckham returning to the Giants would certainly be a great story, and he’s been a rumored target of the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys for months as well.
Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports that “a source said the [Cowboys are] comfortable signing Beckham if the money and health is right.”
A Cowboys executive would not comment if the team would attend OBJs workout. However, a source said the team is comfortable signing Beckham if the money and health is right. They have done due diligence on him. Everything they’ve heard has been positive.
