TECUMSEH — The Tecumseh Pops Orchestra and Community Chorus will take their audience on a musical journey at their holiday concert, “Christmas Far and Near.”
The concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts, 400 N. Maumee St., will feature music from the United States, Austria, England, France, Germany and Scotland, a news release said. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and military. Purchase tickets by calling 517-423-6617, visiting the TCA Box Office from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or online at thetca.org.
The Community Chorus’ performance, led by third-year conductor Bill Abbott, will include songs such as “Merry Christmas, Darling,” “The Holiday Season,” “Pat-a-Pan,” “Joy to the World” and “O Holy Night.”

Also in his third year is the Tecumseh Pops Orchestra’s director and music director, Joe McInchak. Under his direction, the Pops will perform holiday favorites including “Sleigh Ride,” “Fantasy on Auld Lang Syne,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” and “Around the World at Christmastime.”
The two groups will come together to present “Kay Thompson’s Jingle Bells,” and, as is tradition, the annual favorite, the Hallelujah Chorus from “The Messiah.”
