The Augusta National Women’s Amateur golf tournament has become more than an exciting precursor to the Masters competition in its fifth go-around. Alumni of the tournament have gone on to win a collective 39 titles on the LPGA and Ladies European Tour.

This year, the 54-hole event will be played at Champions Retreat for the first two rounds. The top 30 players will then advance to the final round at Augusta National on Saturday. On Friday, when the tournament hits the pause button, those moving on to the final round will be able to play a practice round.

Seventeen different countries and six continents are set to be represented in the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur, and 29 players are making their tournament debuts.

Last year’s champion, Rose Zhang, set an 18-hole scoring record of 65 during the second round of the 2023 tournament. Seven players who finished in the top 10 in 2023 are back to try and best Zhang, who is currently sitting at No. 22 in the Rolex women’s world golf rankings.

World women’s amateur No. 1 Ingrid Lindblad of Sweden will compete in this year’s event, and No. 2 Julia Lopez Ramirez of Spain and No. 4 Lottie Woad of England will join her. Twenty-three of the top 25 golfers in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Rankings will be aiming for the title.
